October 18th marked the second annual Coastal Chamber Retreat hosted by Coastal Alabama Partnership. Executive Directors from all 11 regional Chambers of Commerce were invited to come together for an afternoon of collaboration, reflection, and collegiality. Each chamber shared their successes and challenges through the past year as it related to supporting their chamber members, growth of businesses, and connecting with their communities.
Many Executive Directors shared having an overall positive year, despite pivoting and navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. One attendee said it best when she described her team repeatedly asking themselves “If we can’t do this, what can we do?” as a way to get creative throughout the past two years.
The group collectively shared work force development as one of the largest challenges their members have faced as businesses have been re-opening and working towards pre-pandemic operations.
Attendees had the opportunity to end the night continuing conversing and sharing with a private cocktail class offered at POST: Craft Cocktails and Wine Bar. We are so grateful for our regional chambers and their leadership as they collectively work to uplift and foster our region’s businesses.
