August was a big month of celebration as we recognized the many accomplishments of our CAP leaders. First, we had an amazing opportunity to honor the service and contributions of two of our founding members. After serving on the Board of Directors from 2012-2021, both Donna Givens and Bubba Lee are stepping down from their leadership positions. Bubba Lee represented the Coastal Alabama Chamber while Donna Givens represented Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.

Next, we recognized Herb Malone’s service to the CAP Board of Directors as he prepares for his retirement later this year. Herb was a founding member of our organization, representing Gulf Shores Orange Beach Tourism. After many years of service to our region, Herb will be stepping down from his role on the board and Beth Gendler will be stepping up to the plate come January 2022.
